Myra Lynn McIntyre (Conlan) was born in Massillon, Ohio on February 28, 1952, to Robert Conlan and Jean Conlan (Akins). She graduated in 1970 from Jackson High School and then joined her mother and grandmother working at the Hoover Company.
She moved to Mansfield in the mid seventy’s and worked as a secretary for various local businesses. While golfing, she was introduced to her future husband Bill McIntyre. They were married at the Congregational Church on May 5, 1979.
Her daughter Amy was born in July of 1982 followed by her son Andrew in April of 1984. While her children were growing up, she became a stay-at-home mom but was involved in various local organizations, Garden Club, Philo Club, Study Club, and The Mansfield Art Center. She was also a Brownie Troop leader and a room mom at her children’s school.
She joined the work force when her children entered high school, working at Steinmart until its closure. Then she became a permanent staple downtown working for the Home Collection, License Bureau and for the past fifteen plus years, The Richland Carrousel.
Myra loved her time working in downtown Mansfield, near her son and late husband. She was a regular fixture at The Bag of Nails where she developed many meaningful friendships with the staff and patrons.
Myra leaves behind daughter, Amy of Perrysburg; son, Andy (Lindsey and Parker Kreisher) of Ontario; sister-in-law, Nan Morgan (Hugh) of Cleveland; and three nephews, Rob, Pete, and Heath.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Bill McIntyre; her mother, Jean; father, Robert; brother, Scott; and her beloved grandmother, Pearl Akins.
