

Myrtle L. McKenzie, 98, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Elmcroft of Ontario. Born February 28, 1913 in West Liberty, KY, she was the daughter of Henry Clay and Minnie Bell (Gose) McKenzie. Myrtle retired from Mansfield Tire where she worked as a splicer and regularly attended church at Elmcroft. She was a lifetime member of the VFW, American Legion, AMVETS, and Moose. Myrtle enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, and dancing and listening to music, especially polkas. She also loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandie (Robert) Baxter of Mansfield; 8 grandchildren and their families, George W. Litteral of Connecticut, Bufford Litteral of Kentucky, Leona Litteral of Mansfield, Debbie Jones of Mansfield, Tonya Anderson of Mansfield, Steve Leo of Mansfield, Todd Baxter of Virginia, and Brett Baxter of Mansfield; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John W. Wolfe; sons, Henry and Joseph Cantrell; and daughters, Linnie Cantrell and Mary Louise Reed.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
