
Nancy L. Canfield, 70, of Jeromesville, died Monday afternoon, November 8, 2004 at her home after an extended illness. She was born January 12, 1934 in Mansfield to Lloyd and Marian Baker Rissler. She attended Mansfield Business College earning her cosmetology license and was the owner/operator of Nancy's Beauty Shop. She also previously worked as a waitress at Old 30 Inn. Nancy was a member of Ridgeway First Church of God.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jenny and Bob Stephenson of Findlay, and Joy and Phil Stortz of Butler; a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Tammy Canfield of Mansfield; nine grandchildren, Mandi Algie Aubrey, Sarah Ryan Schmitz, Nancy Stephenson, Joshua Kaber, Darcy Kaber, Tom Stortz, Tim Stortz, Zack Canfield and Alex Canfield; two great-grandchildren, Emma Grace Aubrey and Micah Noelle Schmitz; lifelong friend, Mary Krizan; two sisters, Edna Faye Arnold and Ellen Burger, both of Mansfield; a brother, Lloyd Jo Rissler of Bellville; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James R. Canfield on March 26, 1993; brother, John Rissler; and two brothers-in-law, Richard Arnold and Bobby Burger. The family wishes to express a special thank you to her caregivers, Betty Basinger, Mary Krizan, Cookie Moore, Denise Brown, Becky Staley and Edna Faye Arnold.
Graveside services will be held Friday, November 12 at 1:00 p.m. at Mansfield Memorial Park conducted by Pastor John Dodds. Memorial services will follow at Ridgeway First Church of God at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio or Ridgeway First Church of God.
