Nancy Cartee

Nancy Lou Cartee, 73, of Mansfield, died Monday, August 10, 2009 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born March 26, 1936 in Fremont, she was the daughter of Howard Campbell and Helen Marie Dosh Gray. Nancy was formerly employed at North Electric and had tended bar in Bucyrus. Family was very important to her, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. A loving woman, Nancy had a great concern for others. She was a real fighter, and in her early years drove powder puff stock cars. Nancy also enjoyed fishing, wrestling, playing slots, and cards, especially poker.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Karen Cartee of Bucyrus, Greg Cartee and Darlene Smith of Mansfield, and Chuck and Teresa Cartee of Arcanum; two daughters and son-in-law, Tammy Ramsey of Bucyrus, and Tina and Gene Rutter of Mansfield; grandchildren, Makaylia Cartee, Destiny Rutter, Skyler Cartee, Jerame, Josh, Jason, and Brandy Cartee, Rick Kindred, Josh Kindred, Brandon Cartee, Elmer Copp, Crystal Cartee, and Lindsay Coulter; many great-grandchildren; brother, Dennis Sumner of Florida; two sisters, Sandy Harris, and Joette Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Ray Cartee; son, Richard Kinred; and granddaughters, Angie Kindred and Tiffany Cartee.
