Nancy Jean Jordan

Nancy Jean Jordan, 79, of Mansfield, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. Born January 29, 1939 in Mansfield, she was the fourth child born to Paul and Pauline (Holloway) Young.

Nancy was a graduate of Madison High School where she played the trumpet. She was on many golf and bowling leagues and enjoyed fishing, being outside in her gardens, going to Casino’s and working on the family genealogy. Nancy was a hardworker and retired from Therm-O-Disc following 47 years of service where she worked her way up to secretary.

She is survived by a sister, Geraldine Anderson; a brother, David (Lynda) Young; numerous nieces and nephews, including her caregivers, Pam and Terry Bjore.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Jordan, Jr. whom she married in 1965 and two brothers, William Gibbons, Jr. and Donald Young.

A gathering for family and friends will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 South Diamond Street, Mansfield. A private burial will be held in Oak Grove Memorial Park at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
