Nancy Barbara Karlsberger

Nancy Barbara Karlsberger (nee Sterling), of Mountainair, New Mexico, formerly of Granville, Ohio, Columbus, Ohio, Mansfield, Ohio and Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the age of 84.

Nancy was born to parents Hilbert and Hazel Sterling on August 9, 1931 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Nancy was the youngest of four children and mother of eight. She was a vocalist, voice teacher, theatrical and commercial actress, and an avid gardener.

Nancy is survived by her brother, Bob Sterling; her children, Paul Karlsberger (Mindy), Mark Karlsberger, Martha Risacher, David Karlsberger (Donna), John Karlsberger, Jim Karlsberger (Laci), Mary Peden (Don) and Sarah Karlsberger (Stuart); grandchildren, Prairie (Jason), Orion (Jennifer), cara, Emily, David, Jessie, Isabel, Lauren, Megan, Daniel, Jenna, Andrew, Katie Beth, Alaina and Christopher; and great grandchildren, Elias, Dashiell and Theo.

In addition to her parents, Hilbert and Hazel Sterling, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Dean Sterling (Nancy) and Dale Sterling (Vera); and the father of her children, Robert Karlsberger.

At Nancy's request following cremation the family will scatter her ashes in a favorite spot in New Mexico. The family is grateful for the condolences and requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation to your local Hospice organization would be appropriate.
