

Norma Dove, 85, of Ashland, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at Hospice House in Ashland. Born June 15, 1928, in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of Edwin C. and Beulah J. (Schutt) Hosford.
She was a member of Grace Brethren Church where she was a past secretary and Sunday school coordinator, a member of the choir and Women of Grace, and had made numerous missionary trips. She was a former member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church where she was Sunday school superintendent. She was also a member of NIARBRETTACS and the Savannah Retired Teachers Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, and a life member of the YMCA. She loved snow and water skiing and swimming.
She is survived by a son, Thomas (Mary Beth) Dove; two daughters, Karen (Stan) Bloodhart and Kathie (Don) Connolly; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren of whom she was extremely proud; two sisters, Peggy Jenkins and Evelyn (Dave) Straits; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Dove on November 25, 1990, and a son, James Dove.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2013, at Grace Brethren Church, Ashland, conducted by Pastor Dan Allan. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., Friday at the church.
