Olive Sparks

Olive M. Sparks, age 87, of Crestline, died Thursday evening, May 26, 2005, at Galion Community Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Sparks was born May 19, 1918, in Elliott County, Kentucky, living most of her life in the Crestline-Galion area. She enjoyed cooking and being with her family and gardening of flowers.

Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Christine & Bill Floyd of Crestline, Virginia Honeycutt of Mansfield, Bonnie Joyce & Densil Parsons of Mansfield; fifteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a brother, Everett & Eula Adkins of Morehead, Kentucky; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Zora & Maude Thornsberry Adkins; her husband, Virgil A. Sparks whom she married in 1934 and died June 1, 1993; two daughters, Juanita Gollihue, and Betty Hamilton; a son, Bill R. Sparks; three sisters, Nellie Conley, Minnie Christian, Della Kissinger; and a brother, Casie Adkins.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Monday from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Floyd Scaggs. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
