Pamela was born on August 18, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the daughter of John and Priscilla (Nelson) Peppler. Pamela was affectionately known as Whammy, and was a mother figure to many in her life. Her love of children took her on the journey of providing daycare for two years. A florist by trade, Pamela was the owner and operator of her own business, “The Wooden Apple”. She was also a girls’ softball coach. Pamela attended Story Side Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and golfing.
Pamela leaves behind her children, Deborah A. Westfield of Lexington, OH, Patricia L. Phillips of Palm Desert, CA, and Rodney J. (Amy) Phillips of Mansfield, OH; her grandchildren, Dustin, Kaitlin, Brandyn, Antheny, Devyn, and Matthew; her great-grandchildren, Alison, Arian, and one on the way; and many other beloved family and friends in Michigan and Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Bernard Phillips.
Friends may call from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2022 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 South Diamond Street, Mansfield. A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Mansfield Cemetery Columbarium.
