Patricia "Mommasaun, Patty Ann" Kovinchick

Patricia "Mommasaun, Patty Ann" Kovinchick, 70, of Mansfield, passed into God's arm's peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 after a brief battle with cancer. Born March 31, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio to Charles Lewis.

Patricia spent the majority of her life raising her family as a homemaker but also worked at Madison South, Hawkins, Kroger's and Kohls. Patricia loved deeply and affected everyone she met in a positive manner. If you didn't have anyone, you knew that you had her. A fan of the underdog, she did whatever she could do to make everyone's day brighter, which she did with just her smile. You knew if you had her, you had an angel on your side and could make it through anything. Patricia always saw the best in everyone, even when no one else could. She loved spending time with her family, especially having everyone over when she made huge meals, going on trips with her friends, her garden, reading, gambling, going to the ocean, hummingbirds, and of course ELVIS.

She is survived by her children, Paul E. Kovinchick, Jr. of Mansfield, Cathy (Cory) Day of Florida, James (Nikki) Kovinchick of Lexington, Christina (David) Wise of Mansfield and of course her favorite, Chloe; grandchildren, Zachary DeBaltzo, Aimee Kovinchick, Nicholas Kovinchick, Anna Kovinchick, Holly DeBaltzo, Noah Kovinchick, Logan Wuchich-Wise, and her newest pride and joy, newborn twin's, Santino and Urban Wise; brothers, Philip (Ilene) Lewis of Xenia, Ohio and Ronald Lewis of Baltimore, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Judy (Don) Edwards of Mt. Vernon; and a sister of the heart, "Gwirtz" Ginny Pelfrey.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Kovinchick whom she married November 5, 1962 and a brother, James Lewis.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
