
Paul Bogner, 88, of Mansfield, died early Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home. Born November 19, 1916, in Mansfield, he was the son of Jacob and Maria Distl Bogner. A graduate of Lexington High School in 1934, he retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company after 37 ½ years of service and also worked as a bus driver for 10 years with Mansfield City Schools. He was a member of Apostolic Christian Church. Paul loved the outdoors and going for walks.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bertha Heyser Bogner; three sons, Paul 'Chuck' Bogner of Columbus, David Judy Bogner, Byron Cathy Bogner, all of Mansfield; a daughter, Janice Gary Smith of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Kristen Bogner, Taylor Bogner, Haley Smith and Travis Smith; a brother, Stephen Bea Bogner of Mansfield; two sisters, Esther Bogner of Mansfield and Rebecca Walter Emich of Akron; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Bogner of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Harry, Jacob and David Bogner and sister, Ruth Bogner.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Thursday, December 30 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church, 1332 Middle-Bellville Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
