
Paul was born May 8, 1940 in Ashland, the son of Raymond and Esther Owens Kochenderfer.
He was the owner/operator of Harris Welding and Machine Company up until his illness. Paul was admired for his ability to solve and repair any problems that would come through the door.
Paul was a 1958 graduate of Savannah High School. He was a member of the Shiloh Masonic Lodge, the Yesteryear Antique Tractor Club, the Goldwing Roadriders Association and the Barn Stormer Snowmobile Club. He collected antique tractors and enjoyed riding motorcycles, snowmobiles and four wheelers.
He was affiliated with Franklin United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Rut May Kochenderfer, whom he married May 10, 1959; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy A. and James Wolfe of Ashland; a son and daughter-in-law, John C. and Tracey Kochenderfer of Ashland; seven grandchildren, Erika, Jacob, Paul and John Wolfe and Kyle, Michael and Raymond Kochenderfer; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, LaDonna Swendal of Butler, Carolyn and John Chronister of Adario, and Marilou and Jim Witmer of Ashland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Lorie Kochenderfer on August 6, 1996.
Friends may call Thursday, November 18, 2004 from 3-6 p.m. at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. A service celebrating Paul's life will immediately follow with Scot Myers officiating. Burial will be in Adario Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio or the ALS Association.
