Pauline R. Cox Wampler, 80 of 741 Yale Ave. died Sunday August 27, 2000 at MedCentral Mansfield following a brief illness. Mrs. Wampler was born November 29, 1919 in Richland County being a life long resident of Mansfield. She retired from Auto Workers Credit Union and was a member of First Christian Church. Mrs. Wampler was a member of V.F.W. Auxiliary on Grace Street and the Leiderkrantz.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Doris Cox of Mansfield; one daughter, Pat Robertson of Mansfield; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jane Gilbert and Isabel Berry both of Mansfield and Lois Hess of Leigh Acres, Florida; and one brother, Ralph Berry of Mansfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard Ralph Cox; two brothers, Art and Dale Berry; and three sisters, Donna Hrivnak; Dorothy Osborn and Lucille Berry.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors one hour prior to funeral services which will be held on Wednesday August 30, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Terry Marsh. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
