Pearl Thompson

Pearl E. Thompson, 82, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at MedCentral Mansfield. Born April 16, 1926, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Joseph and Josephine Fike Thompson. A homemaker, Pearl loved to shop and travel and just loved life in general.

Surviving are her children, Art Majors of Mansfield, Joyce Garrell Harless of Mansfield, Mark Cindy Majors of Virginia, Kenneth Myers of California, Dean Joanne Majors of Mansfield and Diane Bill Burdett of Mansfield; grandchildren, Aaron Angie Majors, Art Majors, Jr., Paula Majors, Tim Nikki Harless, Dusty Doug Carr and Darren Harless; great grandchildren, Aurbye Carr, Dalton Carr, Tarin Harless, Tanner Harless, Brittney Majors and Josh Majors. Also surviving are her sisters, Jerri Stiltner and Carol Richard Shrader both of Mansfield; brothers, Eugene Louise Thompson, Marvin Hazel Thompson, Joseph Shirley Thompson, Ronny Linda Thompson, Richard Geraldine Thompson, Doug Darlene Thompson all of Mansfield and David Karen Thompson of Greenwich; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thompson, Jr.; a brother, Donald Thompson; and her parents.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2009, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd, Mansfield, OH 44906, conducted by Rev. Rick Wiseman of Promiseland Church. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
