
Phillip Allen Sanney, 63, of Mansfield, died Friday afternoon, June 18, 2004, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. He was born January 27, 1941 in St. Albans, West Virginia to Clement and Thelma Caddwallender Sanney and was a Mansfield area resident since 1987. Phillip was a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and attended Community Baptist Church and for the last 15 years he had been ministering at the Richland County Jail. He retired after 30 years of service with Columbia Gas Company. He enjoyed woodworking and helping others.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Sanney; six children and their spouses, Mark and Kathi Sanney of Forest City, North Carolina, Dale and Denise Sanney of Runemeed, New Jersey, Leah Marie Sanney of Barboursville, West Virginia, Ken and Andrea Spencer of Ontario, James and Michelle Spencer of Clyde, Chris and Lisa Spencer of Crestline; twenty-five grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Clint and Beverly Sanney of Hurricane, West Virginia, Bobby and Diane Sanney of St. Albans, West Virginia; and a daughter-in-law, Mary Sanney of Huntington, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Greg Allen Sanney.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Monday, June 21 from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Community Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Salem Revival Grounds.
