Randy always gave his all to his family and worked hard to provide for them. A skilled craftsman, he built the family home. His favorite past time was working in his yard, whether it was with flowers, his pond, or his wife's strawberry patch. He loved being outdoors and was an avid Buckeyes, Indians, and Browns fan. Randy loved traveling with his wife and wouldn't hesitate to drag his family ten miles into the woods to see a waterfall. He loved his grandchildren very much and spent time taking them on trips and building them club houses.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Sally Kennedy, whom he married January 24, 1970; daughters, Candy (Jeff) Gerard of Webster City, Iowa and Amanda Babcock of Howard, Ohio; son, Joshua Kennedy of Gambier, Ohio; grandchildren, Shelby Nokes and Shane Nokes of Webster City, Iowa and Hayden Babcock and Connor Babcock of Howard, Ohio; step-grandson, Nick (Jenny) Gerard and Tyler (Chelsea) Gerard; step-great grandchildren, Hailey and Ivy; brothers, John Kennedy of Mansfield and Bob (Diane) Kennedy of Columbia, TN; sister, Lori (Dan) Haines of Lexington, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Randy was such a close part of his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law lives, and he will be missed greatly.
Along with his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his brother, Tim Kennedy; sister-in-law, Pat Kennedy; and brother-in-law, Darriel Lowe.
