
Raymond J. Parker, 58, of Mansfield died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, July 24, 2001 at MedCentral Mansfield. Mr. Parker was born August 28, 1942 in Olive Hill, Kentucky living in the Mansfield area most of his life. He was retired from General Motors after 25 years. He was former owner/operator of Parker & Sons Well Drilling and current owner of Parker Enterprises. Mr. Parker attended Wyandotte Free Will Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Sadie T. Dean McKenzie of Ontario; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin & Amy Parker of Mansfield and Ryan & Angie Parker of Lexington; one daughter, Kimberley Parker-Hill and her friend, Jeff Adams of Bellville; one granddaughter, Amanda Dawn Hill; three brothers, Sable Richmond of Kentucky, Bob McKenzie of Bellville, and Don McKenzie of Ontario; seven sisters, Helen Parker-Bass, Barbara Schrack, and Kaye Elliott, all of Florida, Maggie Louise Parker-Gerhart of Nevada, Mary Mitchell of Kentucky, Burnease Dean of Mansfield, and Pearl McKenzie-Scott of Indiana; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayman Parker; and his stepfather, Clayton McKenzie.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Brian A. Phillips. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
