Regina Hallabrin

Regina Louise Pasheilich Hallabrin, 82, of Lexington Ave. Mansfield, Ohio previously residing at Apple Valley and Winterhaven, FL, returning to Mansfield in 1992 died Monday, January 22, 2001 at MedCentral Mansfield after a brief illness. She was born March 2, 1918 to Adam & Julianna Wild Pasheilich in Fehertelep, Yugoslavia. Mrs. Hallabrin immigrated to the USA at age 3. She graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1935. Mrs. Hallabrin was employed at the Ohio Brass Corp., Mansfield Richland County Health Dept, Mansfield General Hospital, and later retired from Thabet Medical Laboratories. Her hobbies were crocheting, golfing, bird watching, reading, spending time with her children, grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gerald & Rebecca Hallabrin of Mansfield; daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia & Richard Rapp of Hilton Head Island, S.C. and Judith Kraft of Mansfield; a sister, Ann Cheuka of Mansfield; sisters-in-law, Shirley Pasheilich, Rosemary Pasheilich, Mary Bare and Katherine Hallabrin all of Mansfield, Winogene Pasheilich of Thousand Palms, CA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John & Margaret Hallabrin of Mansfield and Christ & Betty Pataky of Oregon; grandchildren and spouses, Michael J. & Dagney Hallabrin of Cardington, Steven & Mary Ann Hallabrin of Mansfield, Whitney Wilson of Las Vegas, Nevada, Suzanne Fowler also of Las Vegas, Nevada, Richard Jr.& Deb Rapp of Steam Boat Springs, CO, Christopher Rapp of Pagosa Springs, CO, Kenneth III & Heather Kraft of Mansfield and Regina Kraft of Mansfield; great grandchildren, Michael I., Allyson and Dinah Hallabrin, Emily and Elizabeth Hallabrin, Tristan and Noah Kraft and Tiffany and Austin Fowler; special friends, Bill & Dorothy Cole and Mary Altaffer all of Mansfield; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years, Michael F. Hallabrin; brothers, Pete, Paul and Fred Pasheilich; and a sister, Julianna Roberts.

A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Her grandson, Michael J. Hallabrin and Rev. David Sipes, Rector Emeritus of Grace Episcopal Church, will officiate. Interment will take place at Mansfield Memorial Park. A reception will follow at the Mansfield Leiderkranz, 1212 Silver Lane, Mansfield, Ohio.
