

Born May 29, 1934 in Mansfield, he was the son of George L. and Alice A. (Cline) Curry. He founded Custom Exhaust in 1969 and was known as “Mr. Nobody” to the community. He was a member of the Owls Club, Sons of Herman and was a 32 degree mason and a member of the Mansfield Masonic Lodge 35 F&AM and the Scottish Rite, Valley of Columbus. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed riding his Harley, spending time with his friends at the Sons of Herman and watching westerns with his wife, Yvonne.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne (Thompson) Curry whom he married in 1955; his children, Jackie (Robert) Beaty of Greenwich, Richard (Sarah) Curry, II of Shiloh, Rodney (Shelley) Curry of Mansfield and Janie Bays (Curt Green) of Mansfield; grandchildren, Robert (Heather) Beaty, Jr. of CA, Curtis (Abi) Beaty of IN, Darrel (Jessica) Beaty of CO, Ryan (Jamie) Bays of Mansfield, Joe (Leanna) Curry of Mansfield, Adam Bays (Abbie Miller) of Bellville, Jake Curry (Nichole Corban) of Mansfield and Scott Curry of Shiloh; great grandchildren, Tyler Beaty, Alana Beaty, Isabelle Bays, Ayden Bays and a great granddaughter due next month; sisters-in-law, Jeannine (Frank) Street of San Antonio, TX and Sondra (Robert) Milum of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Edwin and George Curry.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the funeral home conducted by Pastors Keith Tyson and Bob Beaty, Jr. with additional calling hours one hour prior to the service, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Pavonia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
