Though described as a quiet man, Richie, as he liked to be called, was a very caring person who always thought of others and was an amazing son, brother, and uncle. He was a Madison High School graduate and also earned his auto body certificate His favorite things to do were fish and have a few cold beers and watch his favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles. He also enjoyed going to Cedar Point with his family. But, his absolute favorite thing was to go camping where he could truly be himself.
Richard went to live with the angels after a long illness battle on October 29, 2019. He is survived by his sisters, Donna (Tom) Filter of Mansfield and Mary Hildebrand of Arkansas. He is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Alicia Goodyear; and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
There will be no services for Richard at this time. Burial will be held in the Mansfield Cemetery at a later date. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to have served the Hoffman family.
