
He served in the United States Marine Corp and was honorably discharged in 1958. He retired from Mansfield Plumbing Products after 41 years of service and following his retirement, he went to work for Lowe's in Ontario for over 10 years. An outdoorsman, he was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, a member of Ducks Unlimited, the NWTF, and was a member of Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Guns.
He is survived by two sons, Alan R. (Kristy) Moore of Perrysville and Andrew J. Moore of Ashland; five grandchildren; a great granddaughter; a brother, Clayton (Pat) Moore; three sisters, Martha Jeffers, Norma (Ron) Russell and Kathy (Ray) Baldner; a brother-in-law, David Butler; a sister-in-law, Gail Moore; many nieces and nephews; and longtime friend of over 30 years, Sally King.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Kenneth, Stanley and David Moore; and three sisters, Joanne Moore, Mary (Ralph) Clark and Ruth Ann Butler.
There will be no calling hours or services at this time. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Richland County Humane Society.
