Richard is survived by his loving and devoted partner, Mali Eagle; five children, Kabrina Brown, Olivia Horn (Everett), Jaida Fowler, Braxton Mathias, and Disa Eagle. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Cameron Hart and Time Horn. Surviving family members also include - mother: Joyce Ross; Siblings: Ronal Ross, Douglas Clay, Tonya Richardson, Daniel Ross, Michael Ross, Jazmine Rothe, Sheri Linton and Theresa Linton; beloved aunt Denise Fowler; special friends, Shanna Linton and Teri Linton, as well as numerous and loved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Richard Ross Sr; brother, Freddie Clark; uncle, Kenneth Fowler; and cherished grandparents.
As a professionally and masterfully skilled Mason, Carpenter and Roofer, he was never found with out his bag of tools. Additionally, anyone who knew Richard knew he would never be seen without his favorite "OU" or "Steelers" hat. If he was hatless, that meant he lost it, which wouldn't surprise anyone as his tendency to misplace things was almost as great as his endless supply of trivia.
His children will remember him fondly as a fun loving dad full of interesting facts, a penchant for fixing things the landlord couldn't be bothered with, and the type of dad that would eat a wasp to protect his daughter.
Friends will remember him as someone who was always willing to help without question.
Richard touched many lives. He was kind, generous, intelligent and lively. His smile was infectious. His passing will leave a permanent mark on all who loved him.
Friends and family may gather to celebrate Richards life at a memorial service on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Savannah Town Hall, 12 South Main St, Savannah, OH 44874. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to costs associated with cremation or to the Meningitis Foundation of America.
Wappner Cremation Center is honored to serve the family of Richard Ross.
