Richard Zediker

Richard E. Zediker, 66, of Mansfield, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, February 27, 2009, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born September 25, 1942, in Mansfield, he was the son of Earl C. and June R. Dinger Zediker. He was employed at General Motors for 29 years, retiring in 2006. Richard was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Ashland. He will be remembered as a man who was very passionate about his family and who possessed a unique sense of humor. Richard loved life and lived with a joyful spirit. He enjoyed the outdoors, and watching all the Ohio sports teams especially the Browns, Indians and OSU Buckeyes.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Andrews Zediker; four sons, Scott Susan Zediker of Somerset, PA, Derric Mandy Zediker of Ashland, Dan Emily Zediker of Mansfield and Rick Dee Freel of Crestline; and nine grandchildren, Erich, Courtney, Cody, Dawson, Tara, Cheyenne, Zoe, Justin and Ashley. His parents preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 2, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. in Calvary Baptist Church, with his sons, Scott and Dan Zediker officiating. Friends may call from 5-6 p.m. at the church.
