Robert "Bob" Wolf

Robert "Bob" Markland Wolf, 78, of Marco Island, Florida, and Mansfield, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at his home. He was born August 17, 1936, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Kenneth Luther Wolf and Dorothy Ann (Albers) Wolf.

Bob graduated from Case Western Reserve University and received a Masters Degree in Automotive Engineering from Chrysler Institute of Engineering. He was an entrepreneur and owned several businesses throughout the years. Bob was also an engineer in the automotive industry for many years. He was a philanthropist who donated his time and talents to many different organizations. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of the Cross in Lexington, Ohio. An avid tennis player, he was a member of Lakewood Tennis Club in Lexington and South Seas Tennis Club in Marco Island, Florida.

Bob was a soft-spoken man but had a tendency to be a jokester. He enjoyed surprising his family and friends with his sense of humor. He was a man who treasured his relationship with all his family members. Bob was an avid reader and enjoyed biking, gardening, and keeping busy.

He is survived by his wife, Constance (Bryte) Wolf; children, Douglas (Lindy) Wolf of Dayton, OH, Carol (Ana) Wolf-Garcia of Philadelphia, PA, Michael (Sherry) Wolf of NC, Mindy (Mark) Cooper, Craig (Cyndie) Cooper, both of Lexington, OH, and Christopher (Joy) Cooper, of GA; sixteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Davison of NY; and brother, Thomas Wolf of FL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Wolf.

The family will receive friends from 10 am - 12 pm, Thursday, August 20, 2015, in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. A private family service will be observed. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
