

Robert “Bob” Elsworth Conrad, 72, of Mansfield, passed away Sunday afternoon, January 1, 2012 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born May 22, 1939 in Mansfield, he was the son of the late Frederick and Pauline (Yanoshek) Conrad, Sr.
After high school, he joined the U.S. Marines. An independent man, Bob’s hardworking attitude suited him perfectly as an independent truck driver. He was outgoing, positive and cheery and was always willing to lend his expert advice.
Bob was an extremely talented musician, played the guitar and was a singer with the Fun Center Chordsmen. His hobbies were many and included golfing, traveling, visiting casinos, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and listening to Elvis Presley. He was awarded the Richland County Golf Champion over 6 times in his division.
He is survived by two daughters; two sons; one brother, Fred Conrad of Mansfield; three sisters, Sally Maxwell of Logan, UT, Linda Eckert of Powell, OH and Peggy Conrad of Butler, OH; and good friends, Amber Winegardener and Larry Zeigler, both of Mansfield. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Gerald Conrad.
A graveside service in Mansfield Memorial Park will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Mr. Conrad.
