Robert Drury

Robert G. Drury, 63, of Huron, Ohio and Naples, Florida died Sunday, July 27, 2003 following an extended illness. He was born April 19, 1940 in Mansfield to Gordon and Myrtle Hazlett Drury. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church where he was a lay reader. He attended Mansfield Senior High School, The Ohio State University and Ashland University. He was a self-employed manufacturers' representative. Robert was a former member of Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield, Ohio, Plumbrook Country Club in Sandusky, Ohio and Huron Yacht Club in Huron, Ohio. Since retirement, he was an avid gardener and had a special interest in Richland County history and the royal family of England, and an avid reader of the history of England.

Robert is survived by his wife, Martha; son Robert Drury II of Grosse Pointe, Michigan and Brad and his wife, Michele Drury of Fairview Park, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Dr. James Ringler of Grand Rapids, Michigan; four granddaughters, Meghan, Katelyn, Allison and Loren; and close friends, Twila and Donald Rowe of Huron, Ohio and Betty Smollen of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jeanette.

Friends may call at Grace Episcopal Church one hour prior to memorial services that will be held

Thursday, July 31 at 4:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. David Sipe. Inurnment will be in Grace Episcopal Church columbarium. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Huron Health Care or to a charity of the donor's choice.
