Robert Hasenzahl

Robert S. "Little Bobby" Hasenzahl, 82, of Mansfield, passed away early Tuesday morning, May 7, 2013 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. He was born April 5, 1931 in Mansfield to the late Robert W. and Bessie (Miller) Hasenzahl.

He attended Madison High School and enjoyed bowling on leagues and listening to bluegrass music. Bobby was a happy, go lucky, loyal man who knew no enemies in his life. He was a bit ornery and enjoyed his mother's home cooking, missing it greatly after her death. Bobby was a member of the F.O.E. for over 50 years.

He is survived by his sister, Patsy Frye of Mansfield; sister-in-law, Evelyn Hasenzahl of Shiloh; four nephews, Richard (Becky) Hasenzahl of Lucas, Tim (Marylou) Hasenzahl of Niceville, FL, Randall Hasenzahl and Kevin Hasenzahl, both of Mansfield; niece, Brenda (Mark) Ohl of Florida; and many great-nieces and nephews, other dear relatives and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Richard and Bruce Hasenzahl; and two nephews, Micah Flynn Hasenzahl and Mark Hasenzahl.

Friends and family may visit from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Christopher Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
