Robert Hilborn

Robert L. Hilborn, 80, of Mansfield, died Wednesday afternoon, September 7, 2005, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after an extended illness. Born September 15, 1924, in Nevada, Ohio, the son of Arthur and Hazel Hoover Hilborn. He was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church. Mr. Hilborn retired from Key Bank and had also been a barber. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of the Sons of Herman.

Mr. Hilborn is survived by his wife, Lois Bauer Hilborn; two daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn and Gary Bice of Columbus and Linda and Terry Remy of Mansfield; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert F. and Kimberly Hilborn of Pickerington, and Terry and Trudy Hilborn of Lima; twelve grandchildren, Nikki Remy Kepple, Jeremy Remy, Kristi Remy, Staci Hilborn, Amanda Hilborn, Jessica Hilborn, Kyle Hilborn, Evan Carr, Tara Carr, Blaine Carr, Jayson Hilborn and Jamie Hilborn; and one great-grandson, Gaven Remy. His parents preceded him in death.

Military graveside services will be held Friday, September 9, at 10:00 a.m. at Mansfield Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Bonnie Peltomaa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 1262 Ashland Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44905 or the American Heart Association, PO Box 182039, Dept. 013, Columbus, Ohio 43218-2039.
