Robert Hildebrand, 49, of Mansfield died Thursday August 23, 2001 at Woodlawn Nursing Home following a brief illness. Mr. Hildebrand was born March 16, 1952 in Mansfield being a life long resident. Robert enjoyed fishing, camping and NASCAR.
Surviving are one son, Robert G. Hildebrand Jr. of Mansfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Angela R. and Shawn Sampsel of Lexington; three granddaughters, Alison Hildebrand; Haley Sampsel and Tiffany Hildebrand; his mother, Lorena Staggs of Canton, Ohio; one brother, Ralph Hildebrand of California; one sister, Zona Couts of Canton, Ohio; and special friends, David and Jenny Karr of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Hildebrand.
Memorial services will be held at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Monday August 27, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. conducted by Pastor Dennis Nezrick of Grace Evangelical Free Church. Private family burial will be held at a later date.
