

Born March 30, 1925 in Lake St. John, Quebec, Canada, he was the son of Martin and Rose (Michaud) Lannan. He was a member of the Canadian Army during World War II. He moved to the United States and worked for General Motors in Ontario retiring after 27 years of service. Robert was a meticulous man and a very good dad, always being there for whomever needed him. He loved his family unconditionally and enjoyed his trips to Canada to visit his family.
He is survived by three daughters, Dorothy (Steve) Daugherty, Linda Neal and Dannielle (Jeff) Mosey all of Mansfield; a son, Guy (Gina) Lannan of Mansfield; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy (Roger) Poirier of Montreal, Canada and Jackie Lannan of La Pointe, Canada; and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janine (Courchense) Lannan; three sisters, Lucy, Helen and Rose; and a brother, Andrew.
A gathering of family and friends to remember Robert will occur from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. Memorial contributions may be made to MedCentral Hospice.
