Robin Gay Rose

Born March 7, 1962, in Mansfield, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Mildred G. (Wellman) and Jay H. Akers. Robin had been living in Florida for the past 22 years and retired from the Seminole County School system. She was an avid reader her entire life. Robin was a devout Christian and a loving wife. She loved her family and always enjoyed being in the company of her nieces and nephews.

Robin is survived by a sister, Linda (Ron) Shelton; brother, Don (Rosie) Akers; sister-in-law, Teresa (Bryan) Wallace; brother-in-law, Darrin Rose; nine nieces and nephews, Tim (Nalene) Shelton, Shelley (JP) Green, David Akers, Jay (Laura) Akers, Jacob Wallace, Ashley Dawn, Tammy (Adrian) Swanigan, Billie Jo Bland, and Sherri Fliger-Shaver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russel Rose; and brother, Bill Akers.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. in Mansfield Memorial Park with Pastor Bruce Copley officiating.
