

Roger Leol Brokaw, 73, of Mansfield, passed away at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital on Monday, January 21, 2019. Roger was born on May 26, 1945 in Mansfield, Ohio. He was the son of the late Frank and Cecilia (Darling) Brokaw.
Roger was a graduate of Madison High School, and retired from Empire Detroit Steel. After retirement, he worked at Walmart. Roger was a veteran of the United States Army, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Family was highly important to Roger, and attending his grandchildren's sporting events were one of his favorite things to do. He spent every Friday night at dinner with his wife, Earlene. These dinners hold special meaning to Roger and Earlene and will be cherished memories. Very active in his neighborhood, Roger could be found helping others with snow removal, mowing or any other task that needed accomplished. Roger was a huge lover of sports always cheering on the Buckeyes, Cavs and Indians. He loved to golf and he was always up for a game of corn hole.
He leaves behind his wife, Earlene (Milano) Brokaw; children, Roger (Cathy) Brokaw, Matthew Brokaw, Heather (Darren) Brokaw, Brandi (Jeff) Richey, and Rebekah (Jacques) Hobbs; grandchildren, Abbey, Noah, Ashlee, Susan, Hannah, Nicolas, Austin, Kayla, Aubray, Sierra, Aaron, Nathan, Davon, Ally, Marquis, Jacques, and Jacquiem; great-grandchildren, Ella, Ava, Adrien, Kaleb, Hadleigh, Harper, Jameson, Brazen, Davoni, and Maddy; five sisters; and lots of nieces and nephews. Preceding Roger in death were his parents; five brothers; and three sisters.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
