

A resident of Mansfield for over 50 years, he was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of the Mayflower Congregational Church and the VFW. Ron was self employed, owning and operating Earon, a hearing aid service. He was an avid animal lover and along with his wife, Patricia, would nurse stray cats back to health. Ron also loved to hunt, especially deer and turkey with his brother and cousins and always looked forward to their annual turkey hunting trip to the Appalachian Mountains.
He is survived by a daughter, Shelly (Craig) Eddy of Cincinnati; a granddaughter, Camryn Elizabeth Eddy of Cincinnati; a brother, Larry (Jeannie) Ferguson of Mansfield; and a nephew, Ben (Lisa) Ferguson of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Patricia Joy (Baich) Ferguson; his mother, Florence (Dewey) Peyton; his father, Willis (Opal) Ferguson; an infant sister, Delores; a nephew, Glenn Ronald Ferguson; and his beloved dog, Shadow.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Dr. Gary Wilson. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
