

Ronald Eugene Grimwood, age 77, of Mansfield, died Monday evening. Mr. Grimwood passed peacefully September 9, 2002 at Kobacker House, in Columbus, Ohio following an extended illness. He was born October 20, 1924 in Ashland County, Ohio living in the Mansfield-Ashland area all of his life. Mr. Grimwood retired from U.S. Postal Service & Teamsters. He was a member of the VFW of Shiloh and a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Gladys Poth Grimwood; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald Jr. & Pam Grimwood of San Antonio, Texas and Donald & Ty Grimwood of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren, Tony and his wife, Summer Grimwood, Theresa and her husband, Tommy Hill all of Mansfield; Ben & Lauren Harman both of Columbus, Ohio; two great-grandchildren, Laney Grimwood & Bailey Hill both of Mansfield; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Marion Grimwood of Clearwater, Florida, Paul & Patty Grimwood of Bullhead, Arizona, Richard & Mary Grimwood of Ashland, Ohio; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris & Roy Zehner of New York State, and Phyllis & Ken Hefner of Findlay, Ohio. His parents, Clyde & Ethel Grimwood; a sister, Maxine Frioline and a brother, Ralph Grimwood, preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Thursday September 12, 2002 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor John Dobbs. Military graveside services will be held at Franklin Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
