Russel Snyder

Russel C. Snyder, 85, of Mansfield died early Wednesday morning November 10, 1999 at MedCentral Mansfield after a brief illness.  Mr. Snyder was born October 29, 1914 in Bellville, Ohio living in the Mansfield area all of his life.  He retired after 40 years as owner/operator of Mansfield Metal Fabricating Inc.  Mr. Snyder attended Mansfield Baptist Temple and served in the United States Navy Sea Bees. He is survived by his wife, Pearl E. Gallaway Snyder of Mansfield; two sons, Keith L. & Robin Snyder of Franklin, Ohio and Kevin T. Snyder and his fiancé Marilyn J. Dosier of Mansfield; a grandchild, Krissi Snyder; two great-grandchildren, Kyle & Kaylee Ball; five step grandchildren; two sisters, Mariam Izer of Bellville and Vivian Kilgore of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Gust & Tessa Petersen Snyder; a brother, Cecil Snyder; and a sister, Betty White. Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Thursday from 6-9 p.m.  Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Dale Adkins.  Full military services will be held at Mansfield Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions may be made to Mansfield Baptist Temple.
