Russell Fisher

Russell B. Fisher, 90, of Mansfield, entered into the presence of his Heavenly Father Thursday, May 12, 2011 at his residence. Born January 10, 1921 in Crestline, he was the son of Henry and Florence Huber Fisher. He was a faithful member for over 50 years of Westwood Alliance Church which was a big part of his life. Russell worked as a life insurance salesman for Prudential. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his wife, Laurel Williams Fisher; his children, Nancy Richard Eklund of Jeffersonville, IN, Shirley Dininger of Lexington, Bonnie Steward Ashby of Floyds Knobs, IN, Carol Stewart of Jeffersonville, IN and David Carol Fisher of Scottsburg, IN; five stepchildren; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; nine step grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, JoAnn Morrow Fisher; a great-granddaughter; and a sister.

Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2011 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2011 at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Doyle Peyton. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
