To one of the best people I have ever know. 
I only wish I could have gotten home sooner to tell you, Aunt Ruth, that you truly made a difference in my life. I thank you for being such a caring person and I am so happy that I was blessed to have been able to spend so many of the important years of my life living right next door to you. I wish I would have made it home sooner so that I could have told you just how special you were to me. If it had not been for you, Aunt Ruth, I wouldn't be who I am today. You taught me so many things. More than anyone else realized. Thank you so much for being such a sweet, loving and humorous person. I will always remember how you would drive me to Walcrest Brethren Church on Sundays, sometimes even when you didn't feel like going yourself. And also the time when I was sick, you brought church to me when I was in the in the hospital. I want to thank you also for the time you took during those trips to church, to just listen to me. Aunt Ruth, I love you and I sure will miss seeing you during  my trips to Ohio. I know this poem Ruth, It's by Linda Ellis.and now, every time
I read it, I'll think of you.

The Dash 
I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning to the end

He noted that first came the date of her birth
And spoke the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years

For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth.
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not how much we own;
The cars, the house, the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard.
Are there things youd like to change
For you never know how much time is left,
That can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough
To consider whats true and real
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger,
And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like weve never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect,
And more often wear a smile
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while.

So, when your eulogy is being read
With your lifes actions to rehash
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your dash

She will be missed. I remember some great times with her and Dick.

Because of Dick and Ruth I am a better person
