

Sadie T. McKenzie, 92, of Ontario went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at her home. Born October 1, 1919 in Olive Hill, KY, she was the daughter of Eldon and Pearl (Nolan) Dean. Sadie moved to Mansfield in 1943 where she was an area homemaker. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a member of Hanna Road Church of God and had been attending Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church. A kind and gentle soul, Sadie was a friend to all she met. She loved her children and family deeply and they loved her. Sadie was a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, and sister. She always reassured her family that “one day we will all be together again, and I want you to remember that after I am gone”.
She is survived by her children, Maggie Louise (Oz) Touhy, Helen (Larry) Bass, Barbara (Tom) Schrack, Kay (Bill) Elliott, Don (Connie) McKenzie, Bob (Connie) McKenzie, Burnease (Curt) Dean, Pearl (Jay) Scott, and Linda Steele; 25 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sisters, Martha Webb and Colena Webb; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton W. McKenzie in 1998; sisters, Lula Gilbert, Buelah Dean, and Zola Fox; brothers, John Mort Dean, Curtis Dean, and Ralph Dean; sons, Ray Parker and Ronnie McKenzie; and grandson, James Graves.
Friends may call Sunday, November 20, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario. Family may visit Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 21, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor John Johnson. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
