Salvadore John Fanello, 83, of Lucas, Ohio passed away with his son, John in Anderson, Indiana on Thursday, November 10, 2022. He was born in Mansfield, Ohio on April 7, 1939 to the late Joseph and Mary (Mazza) Fanello.
Salvadore retired as a print shop operator at United Telephone Company. He had previously worked as a janitor at Madison South Elementary form 2000 to 2004. Salvadore was a kindhearted man, always willing to help others in need. He loved his family and spending time at the family farm in Lucas. He enjoyed watching sports and was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns.
Salvadore is survived by his son, John (Wendy) Fanello; siblings, Tony Fanello, Frank (Norma) Fanello, Jim (Kathleen) Fanello, Rose Harris, Joe Fanello and Mary Lou Fanello; close friend, Mona Burdine; and best friend, Don Gaumer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Mick (Rose) Fanello, Rock (Peg) Fanello, Jenny (Bob) Toms; and in-laws, Joe Harris and Sue Fanello.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield, Ohio 44902. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
