Sandra Marie Carney

Sandy was a 1978 graduate of Madison Comprehensive High School. She worked various catering jobs throughout Mansfield, Ohio.

An avid animal lover, Sandy spent much of her time caring for her many beloved dogs and donated to many pet care associations. She was an excellent word game and puzzle player, she had competitive game players around the world. Her specialty was three letter words not recognized but are legitimate words.

Her Italian heritage was especially dear to her and fulfilled her dream vacationing in Italy in 2016. Her favorite pictures displayed are of Roccascalegna, Italy, the little village where her father was born.

She is survived by her husband, John Chris Carney; her daughter, Jessica Carney; her sister, Virginia (Olivieri) Reiff and husband, David Reiff; nephew Andrew (Caitlin) Reiff; great nieces Bianca and Ruby Reiff; sister-in-law Jennifer (Carney) Briner and spouse Charles R. Briner;, niece Aubrie (Carney) Hall, Nate Hall (spouse); great niece Madison Ross and nephew, Christopher Briner. Many cousins and devoted friends that loved her dearly and will miss her effervescent smile and contagious laughter.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James C. Olivieri (2025).

A celebration of life is being planned for this summer.
