Sandra Summers

Sandra Jean Summers, 64, of Mansfield, died Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Triumph Hospital. Born May 1, 1944 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of James Sr. and Ruby E. Lewis Howell. She retired from the former Mansfield General Hospital where she was the head of housekeeping. Sandra was a member of Citi Church in Bellville and belonged to the Living Center. She loved quilting.

She is survived by one daughter, Patty Rod Davidson of Mansfield; one son, Billy Joe Robin Summers of Mansfield; grandchildren, Jacob, Elizabeth, and Zachary Davidson, Konner, Aaron, and Tyler Summers, and Joshua Hahn; brother, James Lynn Howell, Jr. of Mansfield; sisters, Judy Guy Bundy, and Shirley Jim Harsh, all of Galion; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert J. Howell.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Micah Pelkey. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Citi Church, or the American Diabetes Association.
