Sarah E. Logan Mauritz

Sarah E. Logan Mauritz, 85, of Mansfield, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018. Sarah was born on May 13, 1933 in Nicholas County, West Virginia, and was the daughter of Wilbur and Eva (Beckner) Shoemaker.

Sarah enjoyed scrap booking, shopping, checking out local garage sales, camping, and making quilts. One of her favorite holidays was Christmas, as she loved the time spent with her family. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church.

Sarah is survived by four sons, William D. (Dina) Logan, James R. (Shirley) Logan, Bert E. Logan, and Jeffrey D. (Sandy) Logan; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and her sister, Faye Perry of Shelby. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Bert Logan; second husband, Fred Mauritz; and her brothers, Lonnie, Eugene, Robert, Archie, Russell, Elza, Billy, Teddy, and James Shoemaker.

The family will welcome friends from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road. Rev. Keith Carlisle will officiate the funeral service on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Oak Grove Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to First Wesleyan Church.
