

Sherry Ann Bowman, 53, of Mansfield, died Saturday, June 13, 2015 at OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield. She was born January 4, 1962 in Mansfield, and attended Malabar High School. She worked for a number of years at Therm-O-Disc, Step-2, and K-mart before retiring as a homemaker. Sherry was a "Jane-of-All Trades" who was always up for trying something new, usually succeeding at anything she did. She also enjoyed all sorts of crafts including sewing, crocheting, knitting, and woodworking. Sherry loved roller skating at the Mansfield Coliseum and enjoyed going to garage sales and flea markets. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and her four-legged baby, Peanut and her feathered friend, Bentley. Sherry had a wonderful personality and an amazing caring spirit and was loved by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years whom she married in 1979, David D. Bowman of Mansfield; sons, David D. (Kelly) Bowman, Jr., Brian W. Bowman, and Daniel J. (Carlie) Bowman, all of Mansfield; grandchildren, Shelby, David D. III, Brett, Zoey, Shayla, Caleb, D.J., and Gunner Bowman, all of Ohio and Ian and Evan Kinney of Michigan; brother, Freddy Dale of Mansfield; step mother, Andy Dale Rodriguez of Kissimmee, FL; step brothers, Jeffery (Theresa) Collins of Inman, SC and Donald Collins of Kissimmee, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frederick "Buddy" Dale; mother, Carol (Lee) Dale Cooper; and brother, Billy Dale.
Friends may call Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Walter Norris. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
