Shirley Elaine Salser, 77, passed away at her home on September 12, 2020. She was the loving daughter of Fred and Catherine Long and was born in Crestline, Ohio on January 8, 1943. A devoted mother and loving grandmother, Shirley cherished every moment that she shared with her family.
Shirley worked for Therm-o-Disc Inc for over 35 years in different capacities before retiring. She was an avid computer game player and enjoyed watching the birds feed from the multiple bird feeders on her porch and delighted in the flowers that her children planted for her every year in her flower beds around her house. She also was fond of completing the daily crossword puzzle.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Larry Salser; son, Shannon Salser; and daughter, Erin Cooper. She leaves two beautiful granddaughters, Kylie and Katie, who will miss their grandma.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations can be made to either the OhioHealth Hospice program or your local animal shelter. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to served the Salser family.
