

Stacey Jane Vogt, 48, of Crestline, OH passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 after a short courageous battle with melanoma. She was born February 21, 1964 in Ashland to Phil Sattler and Amanda (Rankin) Richardson and graduated from Ashland High School in 1982. Stacey was a phlebotomist at Galion Community Hospital. She had also worked at WIL Research and the American Red Cross. She was a member of the OES.
Stacey was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Sattler in 2009. She is survived by her husband, Kenny Vogt; children, Todd Wertman (Hillary Austin) and Kaley Dever (Mitch); step daughters, Rochelle and Alyssa Vogt; father, Phil Sattler (Eva Gregg); mother and step father, Amanda (Rankin) and Gerald Richardson; sister, Shelle Bauer (Tom); nephews, Tommy Bauer (Stacy), Danny Bauer (Erica) and Joey Bauer; great nephews, Mason and Reece Bauer; great niece, Avery Bauer; mother and father-in-law, Shirley and Bob Vogt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Russell Vogt, Karen Alt (Brian), Brian Vogt (Amy), Kurt Vogt (Melody), Kimberly Hatfield (Jeff), Teresa Knapp (Eddie Wirick), and Sheryl Foley (Jon) and their families; and many friends.
Stacey loved animals and horseback riding. She believed in angels, and signs-believing everything happens for a reason, but her greatest love was her family.
Friends may call Friday, March 9, 2012 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Ave., Ashland. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Crestline conducted by Father Mike Geiger. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
