
Stanley G. Hill, 70, of Mansfield died at the James Cancer Hospital after a brief illness. He went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 23. He was born June 27, 1930, in Mansfield to Herald H. and Hazel Shover Hill. Stanley was retired from the Tappan Co after 42 years as a model maker. He was a member of the Tappan Quarter Century Club. He graduated from Mansfield Senior High in 1948 and was veteran of the Korean conflict serving in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife Roberta P. 'Birdie' Hill of Mansfield; two sons and one daughter-in-law, John S. Hill and Steven L. and Barbara Hill all of Mansfield; four grandsons, Nathan Lee Hill, Justin Tyler Hill, John Kelly Hill, David Michael Hill; one sister, Radene Mowry of St. Petersburg, Florida; one brother and sister-in-law, Harrison and Lawana Hill of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents, Herald H. and Hazel Shover Hill, preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Friday, May 25 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 26 at 10:30 a.m. Military graveside services will be conducted at Mansfield Memorial Park.
