Stanley "Stan" F. Wilk, age 70, of Sullivan, Ohio, passed away on May 6, 2026. He was born on August 1, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Edward and Stella Wilk. Stan lived in Ohio his entire life and was proud to call it home.
One of eight children, Stan grew up surrounded by family and carried that love of togetherness throughout his life. He attended Lincoln West High School in Cleveland, Ohio, and went on to dedicate 37 years of service to the railroad industry before retiring from Conrail and CSX Railroad. He was respected for his hard work, loyalty, and dedication.
Stan was first married to Linda Buzzelli in 1974, and together they had two daughters, Cathy (Dan) Tecavic and Christen Wilk.
Known for his fun-loving personality, Stan was truly the life of the party wherever he went. He loved spending time outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing, camping, and boating. After retirement, he and Gerry spent six wonderful years camping year-round between Ohio and Florida, creating countless memories with family and friends.
Stan is survived by his wife, Gerry (Burgan) Wilk who he married March 20, 1996; step-daughters, Violet Burgan, Susan (Rick) Racut, and Crystal Scheid; grandchildren, Justin Tecavic, Jacob Tecavic, and Santino Ross; step-grandchildren, Samantha Scheid, Gregory Burgan, Amanda Scheid, Tabatha Clinton, Sarah Racut, and Grace Racut; step-great-grandchildren, Bently, Braylon, Braxton, and Enzo; and siblings, Edward, Dennis and Richard.
In addition to his parents, Stan was preceded in death by his siblings Viola, Melvin, Shirley, and Diane.
Stan will be remembered for his devotion to family, his laughter, his love of life, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
