Steve Martin

Steve L. Martin, 55, of 1508 Secretariat Drive in Helena, Alabama died at home Monday, January 26, 2004 after an extended illness. Mr. Martin was born December 20, 1948 in San Francisco, California. He was a 1967 graduate of West High School in Columbus, Ohio and a 1976 graduate of Harvard University. He was a Senior Project Manager with Accenture. Steve played high school and college football and loved reading, golf and playing Bridge. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Schneider Martin of Helena, Alabama; a daughter, Brooke Nichole Martin of Helena; and a sister, Gale Ellen Martin of Columbus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vesta Elizabeth Martin.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Friday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Dennis Allison of First United Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy, UAMS, 4301 West Markham, Slot 816, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.
