
Steven E. McClain, 51, of Woodland Park, Colorado died Thursday, October 12, 2006 at the home of his parents, Bob and Shirley McClain, after an eight month illness. He went home to be with his Lord surrounded by his loving family and his precious 'Auntie M.' Steven was born in Mansfield January 14, 1955. He loved his home in the foothills of Pikes Peak and enjoyed hunting, camping, snowmobiling, and four wheeling. Steven also loved cruising around on his Harley. He cherished his relationship with God most while hiking in his beloved Colorado Mountains. Steven was employed at International Woodwork, Inc. of Colorado Springs for 28 years, where he was the mill supervisor.
He will be eternally missed by his father and mother, Bob and Shirley McClain of Mansfield; his brothers, Jeff of Divide, Colorado, Rob Vicki of Lexington; niece, Jennifer McClain of Lexington; nephews, Justin and Jayden McClain of Lexington; six loving aunts and uncles; and several dear cousins. Steven was greeted in heaven by his grandparents, Helen and Floyd McClain and Mae and Frank Albro.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 16, 2006 at the Christ Lutheran Church in Lexington conducted by Pastor Mary Lou Brook. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christ Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor's choice. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
