Susanna Morgenstern

Susanna Morgenstern, 69, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a brief illness. She was born May 9, 1936 in Panèova, Yugoslavia the daughter of Josef and Susanna Schimpel Hornung. She has resided in the Mansfield area since 1956. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church where she was very active in the church choir and the care of the church property. She was a homemaker who loved her family, going to church and enjoyed traveling. Surviving are her husband of 48 years, John Morgenstern; one daughter, Barbara Morgenstern of Mansfield; five sons, Fred Paula Morgenstern of Mansfield, John Marie Morgenstern of Columbus, David Morgenstern of Mansfield, Daniel Stephanie Morgenstern of Columbus, Benjamin Morgenstern of Mansfield; three grandchildren, Friedrich, Miriam and Ashley; one sister, Marish Rudy Grossgut of Germany; cousin, Herta Edgar Webler of Germany; and a sister-in-law, Margit Hornung of Germany. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Irma Leutholt; and a brother, Josef Hornung. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2005 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 23, 2005 at the Apostolic Christian Church, 1332 Middle Bellville Road officiated by the Apostolic Christian Church. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
